same here... (specially with LuxBlendRC2 dev). images clean up way faster than in 0.6. great work Jens and devs!

Not sure if i have asked this before (rather bad of me, so sorry if im asking for the the second time) but under OSX has anyone else experienced extremely poor performance from the console?

Im running 64bit SL,and when ever i run a lux server on my mac, ill usually get say 2-5k samples/s where as if i load the same scene with the GUI i get something like 20-50k (depending on the scene obviously).

This effect seems to happen regardless of if i am using a server or just directly from the terminal. I dont see the same effect under windows or linux however. Just wonder if its a known issue

Eros

I just checked a big scene here on LuxRender and LuxConsole, also SL 10.6.3.
I get same performance on both apps.
Obeserve the treads, perhaps autothread not working for you ? In case use -t4 switch for a test.
I would be very surprised if something is wrong with the much simpler console.

It is rather weird, as if i start a scene in the console, i get good performance about 50% of the time, so it is hit and miss, but if i run as a server and connect to it as normal i get poor performance.

It does seem odd to me too, as the full lux with the GUI works perfectly for me. Ill try and get some shots of it
