Great job!!!!!!!
only a question and forgive me for my noobiness but ...

- SATtva did a great job fixing bugs in LuxBlend, improving instances export and adding hair support

how to use hair support? I tried to export an object with hair but the console gives me an error. Any hint ???

Jeanphi, this problem is caused by http://src.luxrender.net/lux/rev/158c57bfe561 . I think, I know now what's going on, but still try to understand completely. The current fix I have, creates fireflies unfortunately.

Cheers,

Thanks 1000 SATtva for your support, but, after severeal tries and even with furryball.blend file (provided by you) the error continues to appear....
For sure is my fault, but where???

Thanks again!

Ah, I see now, this is not your fault, instead it's some ambiguity from BF. You have to upgrade Blender: download it from here, BUT choose a Zip archive instead of an installer. For some reason, these packages contain slightly different builds (one with the installer doesn't have some methods in the API which are present in the zipped version  ).

SATtva wrote:MaRo, I'm able to reproduce your problem and think it's caused by not yet polished build process with FreeImage lib. I'll try to fix it in the next weekly build (in the weekend) and will be thankful if you'll test it.

MaRo, the problem with your texture is hopefully resolved, I'll post Linux weeklies by the evening.

Hi,

CoolColJ wrote:attached scene - Water material IOR is at 1.33, but because of the bump map on the water it looks like a mirror. Remove the bump map and eveyrthing is fine

The issue should now be fixed. Thanks for reporting.

Has anyone noticed some scaling differences between 0.6 and 0.7? When using a latlong sky background, I now have to increase the gain to 1000 over the sun component's 1. Furthermore, small interior lights in windows have to use gain scaled down to .01, and even then they require lightgroup adjustment in luxrender way down to .0001 or so otherwise they turn the rest of the world black and blow themselves out. I see even setting up a plain cube on a plane with a sky background and sun component requires the sky to be highly scaled up. Is this related to the scale of objects in Blender?
