yeah blendigo was an option but it's like 10 times more code and i did'nt really have the time to fork off it as then the exporter would have been 'useable' a month from now.
the lux materials are also completeley different and we are going to use a very different and elegant solution in the future which will make blendigo's material editor concept pretty useless for lux...
the scene parsing code in lux is much faster as it uses a lex/yacc parser instead of an xml parser,
and kd-tree building seems much faster too. i'll be doing some tests with really large models later this weekend...
i've had some preliminary results of 60-70 seconds load+kdtree parse with lux, and a 10 minute load+kdtree parse + crash for indigo, resulting in the need to switch to BIH.
