This is a great feature, thank you so much for adding it to Lux, it definitely adds another level of sophistication to the engine. I was wondering if we should consider revisiting the name. While Camera Response Function is a nice name, this function is basically recreating the effect of using different stocks of *film* , therefore it could be called "Film Response Function". Traditionally, when using film cameras, the camera remains the same but the film stock is changed therefore changing the result.

Sounds good to me. Another suggestion would be "Film Response Simulation", "Film colour response" or "Film colour simulation" as people might think they could simulate film grain.

I like the "Film Response Simulation" a lot, it's clearly descriptive, works well with a world that is moving away from film and it's quite user friendly.

by staring from "Film Response Simulation" --> "Simulation Film" --> "SimuFilm" what do you think about?

SimuFilm remember me SimuLens.... an option that I don't remember at time where I read about it.

Now that I think about the Film Response Simulation again, two things bother me somewhat:
-it's pretty long
-the "simulation" part may raise doubts about the accuracy of the process

How about shortening it to just "Film Response"?
