I make this post cause there is no room for these details in the gallery. So here is my submission on the contest. i uploaded it in the gallery 2 days ago. the liquid simulation is done in realflow. the scene came together in 3dsmax and i used the ply geometry exporter of luxmax. because in the current state of luxmax no emmisive textures are supported patro helped me and added emmisive textures in my translucent materials by copying the lines from blender exported files. it was rendered until 1150 samples per pixel at 2000x3000 resolution with hybrid render.Linear tonemapping and 2.2 gamma at film response. the scene was about 900000 polygons and except the emmisive materials only one light plane was used.
thanks a lot! i wish i have your patience (or equipment) to let it render for some thousand samples more!If i had it i would use a diamond glass, i would put the camera in angle and let all the beautiful caustics appear!
