Explained here: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2947&start=460#p30766 (with a 448 it would run slower, try to run with 256 to have an idea).

:D
I tested with different number of threats on my dual core CPU.
From 6 tests:
* Best was 2 threats for 4 tests.
* Secound was 8 threats for 2 tests.
* 1 threat didn't won nothing.

SPONZA gave weird results :P

ok - yep i tried the different workgroup sizes and 256 did work, but any higher throws that error. :) I was actually messing about with it anyway and got it to work. So 256 would likely be optimal in this case? or maybe best to run it and see which is faster?

Good to have this PC back up and running, when i resized the hard drive it pwned my NTFS, so i had to spend time fixing that (which involved hexediting the primary boot record... which wasnt alot of fun i can tell you.

We have a brand new forum all dedicated to GPU acceleration so let's us it. I split latest active topics in dedicated threads (I hope to have catch all of them) and I'm going to lock this thread with my brand new admin super-powa :D

NOTE: The new forum "GPU Acceleration" is located under Core Engine section and it requires to login the forum to be visible.
