about the luxball.. there is also the ply one from the slg scenes.

patro when you posted the luxball4.obj i had allready created a max scene using luxball3.if you want i could sent it to you.

now the first luxball on my previus post was a happy accident, i transferred the mat settings from max to the xls file from luxball3 from blender to render it out, but there was a transfrom funvtion in the geom file left which made the bump parts black!
Anyway even without luck you can make a luxball like this straight from max with the max luxball scene:
Used a map bump map and a film map:

Moure the luxball is pretty nice.... but I prefer the happy accident :D ... we have to find out how to get that look!
I find out wath is looking wrong in the luxball... thought that the geometry is a plane wrapped on the internal sphere.

yes, please send me the scene with the luxball....
I'm trying this morning to get it from blender as 3ds(max can't read the file), as fbx(geometries are lightly faceted), as obj (can't say that looks like a lux ball)
the one luxball shared from JTheNinja isn't working.


@Stig... you asked for the Lux scene of the Luxball..... well here you go

forget to mention that with ply export the maps are exported flipped on z axis.. I read 10cm on the map as mc01.
at time the workaround is to re-export... by skipping geometries and disabling ply export.

Hey Moure,
i need a bit info and help with the Lr blend material, i'm not sure to get it working properly.
i'm using the exporter from perpixel and for the material preview i'm using the luxmaxscript from Stig.

the problem is, if i use a mask as textures, a flag is needed to override the mix ammout spinner. at time the material seams to work like a layered material, texture + mix ammount seams to be more a weighting tool.
i could be wrong. i'll try some material test with a sphere to be sure.

hi, haven't been here in a while.

was curious if anyone was implementing the new gpu features, or if it's already been done.
also was wondering where the latest plugin was.

I downloaded one from

in the zip you find 2 version of the exporter.

the last one is the one containend in the *gplourde*(?) folder

the old version is the one contained in all other folder.... you have to grab only the dlx and the ms files.

the *gplourde* version is still implemeting new features... not all materials are available... so check it also more than once a day.
