It means it can't find the "sppm" integrator, which means you're using the wrong binaries :)
May contain traces of nuts.

That hit the spot, And that is what I get for not deleting old versions before playing with new ones.

Sppm has known some very important updates the last months, so youd better build one from the repo, or if you cant, just stop by the irc and someone will be there to send you a latest build containing the latest improvements, It will be better than using thins old one :)

argh well i used this version for some days now but never got a good result anyway with sppm, bidir + metropolis always was way better at least for me.

I never built a lux so far, i am absolutly clueless here. but i am going to check out the Compilation & Portability section since it seems there is a "how to" vid.

also is there a thread containing all the recent updates ?

why using this old version of SPPM implementation when there is improved one?

here you have Lux 0.9dev which has SPPM back and better working

Because that's built in to blender - if you're not using blender, you can't use the LUX embedded in it with your own exporter.

Well, this version has pylux (so embedded into Blender) but also has a directory in main folder called 'lux' where You can find the standalone luxrender.exe file:)
