Afaik, yes this is a known issue. Infinitesample has not been maintained after the switch to spectral rendering, and it's not updated for use with bidir.

There is another problem. The program segfaults when I start a scene with IGI integrator. It happens right after the following messages in the log:

Unfortunately, it's hard to trace down this problem as the debug version segfaults much earlier in the process. :) This is what I got from luxconsole:
