Thank you so much for the pre-built. ;)

Would it be possible to have debug version pre-built under MS Windows environment??? :P

The current building procedure supports the debug version too (however I have tried only with the static linked version not the DLL one). But I assume a debug version is needed only for developing LuxCore, not an app based on LuxCore :?:

I get crashes during new luxrays::Property or calling some other luxcore::(*function)s under debug environment while smoothly under release env. :(

My guess is debugging the app will link some debug dlls from windows or some others while conflicting with the release dlls used by Luxcore.dll. No really sure :!: :?:

When developing an app with the provided sdk, I tried to modified the provide example.
When BIASPATHCPU/BIASPATHOCL is used, the program crash at the RenderConfig::Create() line

Code: Select all
    qDebug() << "Ready to RenderConfig::Create(config);";
    RenderConfig *config = RenderConfig::Create(
            Property("renderengine.type")("BIASPATHOCL") <<
            Property("opencl.platform.index")(-1) <<
            Property("opencl.cpu.use")(true) <<
            Property("opencl.gpu.use")(true) <<
            Property("batch.halttime")(10) <<
            Property("film.outputs.3.type")("RGBA") <<
            Property("film.outputs.3.filename")("image.exr") <<
            Property("film.outputs.1.type")("RGBA_TONEMAPPED") <<
            Property("film.outputs.1.filename")("image_tonemapped.png") <<
            Property("film.outputs.2.type")("SHADING_NORMAL") <<
            Property("film.outputs.2.filename")("image_normal.exr"),
            scene);

    qDebug() << "Ready to RenderSession::Create(config);";
    try{
        RenderSession *session = RenderSession::Create(config);

The latest sources have renamed BIASPATH in TILEPATH: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=13273

This may be the source of your problem :?:

P.S. if you compile LuxCore from the sources, adding a "/debug" on cmake arguments should be enough to compile the debug version.

I think many of my existing problems cause by mis-using the deprecated terms or names from the old documentation http://www.luxrender.net/wiki/LuxCore_SDL.

Unfortunately, the only really updated documentations are the sources at the moment.
