I have just downloaded and unzipped the files and have no problem starting the scenes.
There is 1 lightsource in the scene, named Mesh Lights. Two appear in the Lux GUI, Mesh Lights which is correct and default, which for some reason is always created when you use mesh lights. Whether this is due to some issue with Reality not Lux should be referred to Paolo.
As I've tried to explain before in another test, testing methodology says you have expected results when you test a product. In this case, the expected outcome is that the 2205 build will produce a similar result to the 1205 build, but hopefully with improved performance. If you use the same testing parameters, that should be independent of the scene and its structure.
In testing, if you use a light source without an IES profile, you get similar results. As soon as you introduce an IES profile into the scene, the scene become very different with teh light produced by the IES source increasing dramatically in intensity.
Having tested 2205 with other scenes used with versions 0.8, 0.9, 1.0RC1 and weeklies. I am led to believe that the 2205 build has problems when using IES profiles.
