"glossycoating" and "normalmap" are new features in the 0.9 dev forum, you can find them in the weekly builds.

I gotta go to bed, I'll fill in on the rest unless someone beats me to it.

Hi Nart,
this is the luxball5 scene i remodeled in rhino for the luxrender community.
the scene is just seted, check the unit scale. maybe Abel could help in checking this.
inside you can find the light planes and the illumination i did to be used with an hdr.
Image
the luxrender numerical grid, the bubbles are inside as meshes, on different layers.
the metric textures can be find here
enjoy and thank you for the great job on the exporter :)

This is truly a noobily modeled one !

However, since the bubbles are inside and I didn't provide them in the export, I guess you remade all the export yourself ?...

Flatland-

Wow it has been about 9 months since I worked on this. It doesn't seem like it...

As far as my progress, short answer is no..

I had to get a real job and that has left me little time to spend on the exporter. I also hit some hurdles with mapping and materials exposed in the rhinocommon SDK, which I think is going to make an exporter based completely in python rather impossible for now (I don't have the development tools or knowledge to use the RDK directly). There were also some other additions to rhinocommon I think would be good to make use of but it means a lot of modification. I also would like to put in some infrastructure for instance placement/scattering, but that is another step backwards.

How is the Rhino Exporter working? Does it need any work? I have created a couple Rhino exporters before. Let me know if this needs to be picked back up!

Hi,

Your help would be greatly appreciated, but I unfortunately don't know of any publicly available source code for this exporter. Maybe nart would be willing to give access to his work if not able to continue working on the exporter?

Yes, me too, I finally got my own Rhino license recently. Having a LuxRender exporter would be great news. :-)
