jep, jendrzych first shot hits the bulls eye... a sexy X and a good basis for a Lux test scene ;)

Perhaps its possible to "quote" an issue of unbiased rendering in this logo by something that start very grainy and end totally sharp.
Also aspects of photography could be used like some kind of pseudo 2D DOF blurriness... just some ideas.
Just please give this logo some soul... not like the new Indigo logo, that seems to focus on looking fancy :|

Nice idea Miga - an artificial illumination engine ;P
so that's how it could look like:

and updated version of firtst try to stirr a bit more
(still plan to play a little with tweaking Radiance's "neuropolitical" font version):

Hey all,

first of all thanks to all the people who have posted logos ;-)

since there's so many to choose from,
and this is an open project,
i'll leave this post open for more contributions for 3 more days,
and then i'll put up a poll (vote) and we all can vote for the one to use.

keep 'em coming ;-)

The logos are pretty nice, and are made well but I don't feel that any of the graphics communincate rendering, artistry, unbiased rendering, light, etc. in their presentation beyond the text. I do agree with the solid vector artwork though. I don't have access to my computer today, but i'd like to see a logo that illustrates some physical light phenomenon in simple vector graphic form. Something like a caustic cusp or a logotype with low key lighting effect, could be black vector lines just as they are now. Even fonts reminiscent of typographic labels on camera lenses would be interesting. I don't have my workstation with me today to make any samples.. hopefully I can get something out tomorrow at school at least.

I worked on this in between classes today. My goal was to integrate some of the light/physics tech look and feel while allowing proportions to fit well into different types of media. I was tempted to add the ideas I had about caustic cusps but felt it would be too busy.
