Create worn textures for use with Luxrender

Postby moure » Sat Apr 09, 2011 5:01 am

After Inlights push i created a small tutorial on how to create diffuse specular and bump/displacement texture maps for worn materials from a reference photo using photoshop.
It only requires basic (or none) photoshop knowledge and im sure that it can be easily used with gimp too.

Its in pdf format.

Moure, it would be nice to explain a little how to attach those textures in order for the cans to look that good, as in your picture ;)

alexds the scene was made in 3ds max and exported with luxmax , thats why i cant post a screenshot, but i guess its preety clear, just use the diffuse, spec and bump maps you create during the tutorial in the corresponding material slots.

if a 3ds max picture will help you no problem , what i mean is that i dont have the scene made in blender so as to post a screenshot showing the blender settings ;)
