hg clone premature EOF

Hi,

I'm new to luxrender and would like to get a copy of the source code (using hg), but this fails on: abort: premature EOF reading chunk (got 2652613 bytes, expected 10111286)

I've searched the forum and internet and more people experience this (also on other projects). I haven't found a solution yet (as you might expect as I'm writing this...). The one that sounded plausible (CGI timeout on server), has lost it credibility as yesterday it took ~10 minutes, but today only ~1 minute before I get the error.

Does anyone know how the solve the 'premature EOF' error?

It is a common problem lately. I guess it is a problem of the hosting service (i.e. not on your side, it happens to everyone). The only solution is to retry or to try to download http://src.luxrender.net/luxrays/archive/tip.tar.gz (it is smaller so the change of failure are less).

Shortly after the original post I tried it once more (after numerous tries spread over a week) and it worked like a charm....

I have the same problem ... i tried several time on linux and windows and the error remains the same
