Cool,

let us know if you need any assistance or have any problems.

the v0.1 release will probably be extended into next week due to all our hosting issues,
i've lost a lot of time on it.
i'll put the rc2 or rc3 on the download page on friday though.

Thnx!,

I think I managed to get the right order now :)

(don't look at the time. I had the windows version running in a VirtualMachine on my Linux computer :D to test it with the RC2, was before the linux version was out)

I will upload a test version later!

sweet ;-)

what was the issue ? converting quads to tris ?

thanks for uploading, but we're gonna need some XSI users to test it ;-)
i don't know if there's any other XSI users here (yet!)...

you might have to bring some friends...
or do a post in an XSI forum.

Keep it up!,

Somebody posted a link in a german XSI forum (xsiforum.de) that's how I found Lux :)

The problem was that the XSI index numbers are different from the numbers I have to export. But I found that I have to deal with the Node index numbers and not the vertex index numbers (a 6 point poly has only 6 vertex-indices but 8 node-indices like I have to use for Lux). At the end I just have to assign the right vertex to the right node number and I was done :)

Hope the XSI folk will post some examples. The render is still very basic (e.g. no textures yet) but it exports objects and a base material.

cool,

you'll see that with unbiased renderers you don't necessarily need much (or any at all) textures for nice renders.
altough it's sureley needed ;-)

Download Version 0.1 of LuXSI
for Windows (32bit, XSI 5.11) and Linux (32bit, XSI 6.02)

Will release it with source-code when I have time to make some comments and fix some bugs :)

Nice work Miga !!
If you want to release it under GPL, we could integrate LuXSI directly in Lux ;)

Just implemented meshlights:

On my todo-list for the next release:
* spotlight
* more options in the plug-in (threads, tonemapping, sampling)
* more materials
* perhaps textures
* bug fixing :)

Hey,

the alpha9 blender exporter and RC3 release to be here hopefully sunday will be much more advanced regarding mesh emitters, lights and textures.

i suggest you study it's output, should'nt be too hard to implement it ;-)

good work, but i think we'll need more XSI users.
have you seen any people interrested in using/testing it in other XSI forums ?
