Because that EXR is not an real HDR image, im pretty sure because when i imported it in CS5 i could not gain any information from the highlights, that means its a LDR to HDR transcode.

Meaning its a an JPEG or PNG that he saved as an EXR.

I'm not talking about that "wrong" EXR, but a correct one. I'm just questioning the need to upload FLM instead of a proper EXR image.

I export exr from luxrender and import the file in Luminance to tonemap it, and adjusting the preview I can see that the picture IS an HDR because I can either preserve light zone details and dark zone ones without quality loss.
