My first render. Bullets, bottlecaps and a bottle.

Postby Sweet Tooth » Sun Jul 10, 2011 3:23 pm

I hope there are some Fallout fans on this site. I'm not the best when it comes to modelling, so I realize that the bottlecaps look terrible. I just used my desktop wallpaper size as the resolution. I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm open to suggestions. Cheers!

Thank you! I'm rendering a new image with better looking bottle caps right now. The ones in the post earlier were really bad, I admit. But these look better, I think. I'll give it a few more hours before I upload it.

Edit: Well, here's the result. I'm not calling this finished yet. I like the way it turned out, even if it is just a simple wallpaper.

This actually started as a Nuka Cola Quantum! I wasn't sure about how to make it glow, so I ended up changing it to a regular Nuka Cola. I want to do that eventually, but I think I'll need some more practice within LuxRender to get it to look right. I'm working on a scene with Buffout right now. :D I'm not sure what other Fallout items I want to do, though.

Bobble-heads might be a bit difficult for me at the moment. I'm pretty terrible at modelling. But a vault door could definitely be do-able. :D

i'm not really sure how fallout 3/nv handle models, but i think you can import game models into blender..

I'm pretty sure you could as well, but I have no idea where I'd get my hands on them considering I have the 360 versions of Fallout 3 and NV. haha.

Edit:
This is another render I started working on a while ago. More or less just goofing around.

Hi,

Stunning effect! Rendering such a shape with an unbiased physically based renderer is really nice.
