I think the roof texture looks pretty good. But there is one thing that makes the house look unrealistic.
Everything is too flat. Between the bricks there should be joints (don't know if this word is right, I mean "Fugen" in German) and the corners of the house should be more rounded.
But all in all, very good looking. I especially like the windows, they look very detailed.

I think the word you are looking for was "Gaps" which is kind of the opposite of Joints, there are gaps between the bricks but due to the scale of the image I don't think it is very visible, and the texture I painted is a very conservative 2048x2048 for the whole outer shell, I might make a higher resolution texture at a later date.
The corners could use a bevel I agree but I'm still texturing so I'll add those when I don't need the highest speed render.

Likewise after I've finished texturing I'll add some subtle bump maps, but we are still very much in the early stages here.

But thanks for the input. The more feed back (even this early on, the better really)

This is starting to look nice, looking forward to the final image! I'd say the slate is looking good, but I'm not too fond of the sudden change in brick colour. I am aware that nice looking aged brick textures are not easy to get by though.

I think the word he was looking for is actually the right one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mortar_joint.

Thanks for the feedback, though perhaps I should impart some of the history of the building to explain the reasoning behind the many stages of brick colour.

The sudden change in brick is what I am aiming for; the drawings show that each generation has added a new floor or an extension to the house.

There are a number of changes indicated through the various drawings. As I've attempted to show in my model the second drawing in the file, is the construction of the third floor some 40 years after the first 2 floors of the original building (the part on the far right) was constructed, this was the same time that they build the new entrance ans part of the first extension.
The second and third extensions are the parts just behind that.
The 4th extension is the balcony, utility room (the lean-to) and the conservatory.
It's this history of the building that I am trying to capture, I will soften the edges between generations a little by the use of plants and vines, but I want it to remain visible even if just a little.

And here is another update:

Looking great. The roof tiles a too perfect compared to wall bricks, but i think you are aware of this.

Yeah it's untextured atm, I'm just modelling details for now, I'll focus on the textures later.
There is a lot more modelling to do yet, Trees, plants, fences, the barn, etc.
Once that's done I can worry about textures again.
