Learning how the 3 point lighting system from youtube videos.
Back light still to high.
The lampshade looks jagged...

Have been trying to get a wax looking floor but not sure. I might not have
the right windows reflections as in this images here:

Yep, that's it. The reference has got those bright windows. You need a bright light source facing the camera which will reflect off the waxy floor.
Excellent looking carpet two posts back. I really like that one.
