Wonderful scene, thanks! I've uploaded it: http://cg.tuwien.ac.at/~zsolnai/luxrender-scenes/
If someone has the time, please add it to the show-off pack gallery. Thanks!

### Re: LuxRender "show-off" pack

Here are a couple of scenes for various renderers:

Originally they all were kept in a repository:

https://github.com/wahn/export_multi

But I decided to provide individual download links for each renderer specific file format and the Blender files can be found via the Cycles links. They normally contain two versions of Blender files, one which was used for my own exporter (simultaneous export to several renderers), the other one specifically setup to render with Cycles (Blender's internal GI renderer). Textures are kept seperatelly (because they are used by several scene descriptions). Either I provide a download link or a README where you can get them ... or they are in the repository ...

Let me know if that works for you. I might have forgotten to hand edit all of the .lxs files to contain relative paths (e.g. to textures). Should be easy to fix. Credits should be taken from the README files (which are displayed if you click on the link beside the thumbnails https://www.janwalter.org/download/).

Pictures rendered by varius renderers (including Luxrender) can be found in the repository, e.g.:

Have fun,

Jan

Great stuff. One tip though: you seem to be using the Mitchell filter in that render, this causes the black artifacts on the right side of the window and some other bright areas. Try to use Blackman-Harris instead.

Thanks, I'll try that and change my exporter accordingly.

Hi there Wahn,

thank you for contributing! There seems to be lots of stuff here. Please link me the zipped files with the lux+blend sources for the ones you wish to add to the repository.

Feel free to use any of them, but if you need suggestions, maybe you want to start with the conference room scene:

Contains:
Code: Select all
> tar zxfv conference_room_blend.tar.gzblend/blend/conference_room.blendblend/conference_room_cycles.blend

Both Blender files should work, but the conference_room_cycles.blend is set up for Cycles, so you should be able to just hit the render button (F12) ...

To avoid that people have to download and install my add-on for exporting to multiple renderers (https://bitbucket.org/wahn/blender-add-ons/wiki/Home) I conveniently provide Luxrender files here:

Contains:
Code: Select all
> tar zxfv conference_room_lxs.tar.gz lxs/lxs/conference_room.inilxs/conference_room.lxs

For me (on Linux or OS X) I simply load the conference_room.lxs and from within Luxrender I use "Load Panel Settings ..." to load conference_room.ini and adjust the settings. Please be aware that I put several comments into the *.lxs file which can be used to render the scene from different camera angles (just comment out the camera you want to use and comment the other camera line(s) using hash (#)).

### Re: LuxRender "show-off" pack

Excellent, thank you! Normally I ask people to pack it up with the format we use in the unofficial repository, but this was straightforward enough. I put the blend and the lxs resources in the 7zip file alongside with an author.txt file with your name so people will know who to credit. Thanks for contributing again Jan, great scene!

Károly, i've been asked by some person to share my Spheres scene, but i'm unable to find it in my archive, probably i have deleted it. I know you're likely to have a copy, could you just add it to the show-off pack please (all the stuff including the blend file)?
