You're right, we should fix that, thanks for the feedback! In the meantime, those Linux binaries can be downloaded from this folder: http://www.luxrender.net/release/luxren ... /linux/64/.

@ Developer team,
I must say WOW.
Your work is great.
I made a test about the speed improvement in rendering.
I used my glassball scene and i made 200 passes.
Just phantastic.

Watch the picture with the statistics.
Thanks to all developers.

What would the point be? Why not a 4th number or a fifth?
We've reached an important milestone, that's the main version number, then we're doing a subsequent release, that's the second number, no need for another one. I don't like version numbers with so many parts that you don't even know what they mean.
And it wasn't just a technical release either, there were real improvements.

Unfortunately Visual Studio has really hard time detecting that the png for the splash has been updated, and I forgot to manually force a rebuild of the splash screen window. I've also forgotten to add the new sky2/sunsky2 files to the project  I've uploaded fixed archives / installers.

Very sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Lord Crc,

So we should re-install the Windows Ver 1.1 in order to get the new Sun/Sky model.??

You are right, sorry for the nitpicking.

Awesome news!
This coincides perfectly with the delivery of my new i5 quadcore workstation :)

BTW, are there any images of the Sky2 lighting model in action?

Looks good!
