Great News!!

Found a couple of things:

Typo on the link for the 64bit No-OpenCL Linux version. Actual filename is lux-v1.1-x86_64-sse2.tar.bz2, link points to lux-v1.1-x86_64-sse2-NoOpenCL.tar.bz2.

Has the About screen been updated? Still says 1.0 after usual install method.

It reads 1.1 here. The splash screen is another story -- "1.0" is part of the image.

Was talking about the Windows version, Linux verion runs as a slave on my setup. Just retried and Windows version appears to be 1.0 on splash screen and scrolling text. Linux reports itself as 1.1 on the text.

Internally they must be same version as they connect as master and slave with no errors.

Cool stuff, although I had expected a 1.0.1 release ;)

Lol.
After all the years of 0.x-releases, LuxRender catches up on the impressiveness of the version numbering system :P

Unfortunately Visual Studio has really hard time detecting that the png for the splash has been updated, and I forgot to manually force a rebuild of the splash screen window. I've also forgotten to add the new sky2/sunsky2 files to the project :oops: I've uploaded fixed archives / installers.

Very sorry for the inconvenience.

Uh... the non-openCL Linux binaries for 1.1 are not there. I mean, they're simply not there. When I click the link for OpenCL version my browser offers to download it as it should, but when I click the link for any of the non-opencl builds it redirects me to http://www.luxrender.net/missing.html

I am on a cheap computer with an old radeon 4000 series card, so I can't use opencl. I admit that such a computer is not good for heavy rendering anyway, but still, the non-opencl builds are also useful for running luxconsole on powerful nongraphical servers.

So... you should fix your download links, because some of them are broken and that is not good. :roll:

@B.Y.O.B.
I wouldn't tag a release that 1) adds a huge speed-up 2) is now fully compatible with the last version of the main open source 3D suit program
just a fix release (as i would expect from 1.0.x) :D
You add so much at each release, that you deserve this big numbers!! ;)
