I have a problem with luxrender, so i haven't option for internal rendering, and no hybrid rendering mode option.
Have somebody any idea??

Thx.

(sorry my wrong english, i am a hungarian)

With Blender 2.5? You will need to install the Pylux module. Which operating system are you on?

Hi, great job with the new version. However I have some problems, probably hardware-dependent. I tried the hybrid mode on 2 machines:

1. i7 720QM, GF 250GTS, Win 7 x86
2. Q9950, Radeon HD4800, Vista x64

On #1 it works fine, much faster but I noticed, that using glass with "Architectural" causes all the objects to go transparent, with normal refractions - the image looks ok but the glass doesn't let any light through (although it is transparent).
On #2 the rendering starts but i get a completely black image, 0% GPU load, 0% CPU load, nothing happens at all. I have up-to-date drivers with OpenCL support, tried testing on LuxMark and it worked (not sure if this benchmark is relative to Luxrender in anyway).

Edit: I'm not getting any errors in log. Integrator: path, light strategy: one.

An official OpenCL driver for HD4xxx family has never been released, the one currently available is still in beta state. I know that SLG and LuxMark work fine there however I'm not sure if we have ever read of a success story with LuxRender :?:

Thanks for reply. The driver I've downloaded wasn't described as 'beta' - seems like Ati is hiding something;). Anyway, i guess I will keep track of new driver releases.

I also noticed another problem - the Micro Displacement doesn't work when switching to hybrid mode, anyone else encoutered this problem?

Known issue, I've at least seen it mentioned in IRC. The relevant devs are aware of it, at least.

The driver itself isn't beta, the OpenCL support on HD4xxx series is and most likely will stay so.
