How do i install LuxRender to use with luxblend?
I installed luxblend correctly, Appears in blender, renders a black screen. I can't find a descibtion on where to extract luxrender so that Luxblend would find it.
Can someone explain?

It doesn't really matter where you put LuxRender as long as you set the path in LuxBlend's system panel. For more instructions, see http://www.luxrender.net/wiki/index.php ... d_LuxBlend.

The link describes on blender 2.49
I want to use it in blender 2.5 with the new exporter beta.
How do i find the Luxblend system panel in Blender 2.5 ?
It doesn't ask me for a path anywhere.

It does. You can find it in the Render buttons panel. Make sure that you have LuxRender selected as your render engine.

Allright, i found the "Luxrender engine configuration" menu in the Render tab, I found a place to write in a path there.
I tried "C:\lux", "C:\lux\luxrender.exe" "C\lux\console.exe". None of that worked. Still renders a black screen. I'm using the blender 2.5 default starting scene.

What else do i need to do?

Make sure that luxrender.exe starts on its own too. If it does, then try starting blender from cmd.exe to see if it outputs anything of interest in the console.

Thats what i get from the console. Any hints? :D
I can't find where to download the pylux module thing in the site.

"Make sure that luxrender.exe starts on its own too."
As in, if it starts if i double click the luxrender.exe?
Yes, it does open.

What does it say after you set the path to luxrender in the render panel and try to render?

aha. I found out that i need to change the output from temp to something else, cause the console said "Output path is not writable"
Now It turns on the luxrender GUI (I was hoping for it to render inside blender instead... :| to bad)
But it still renders everythibng black. A white dot appears where the light is and that's it.

Anything else i need to do?

Try something other than the lights in the blender default scene - and make mesh lights, don't use blender point/spot lights (sun lamp is ok).
Also try to fiddle with the tonemapping controls. Think of luxrender as a virtual DSLR camera with the linear tonemapper.

If you have problems with this, please post in the "user support" forum.
