Hmm...

Can someone else give those Windows 32/64 bit downloads a try? They both seem to be corrupt when I unzip them.

Yes, I verify the files are broken. Hang on, I will re-upload them :)

I used both WInZip and the built-in command. Plus I tried to unzip them with Info-zip and they all complained. Zip should be zip no matter what program created the file.

Correct, the files were faulty and have now been replaced with ones that work :) Sorry about that.

Just tried it on Win XP, 32 bit version. I simply unzipped the archive and launched luxrender.exe and I got an error at startup, no GUI is shown. The error says: "The application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem"
Since there is no installer I'm not clear what I should do. Launching luxconsole lead to the same.
The zipfile contained luxconsole.exe, luxrender.exe, QtCore4.dll, QtGui4.dll and QtOpenGL4.dll
I unzipped the archive and launched the applications from the containing directory. Am I supposed to do something else after exploding the archive?

TIA

@pciccone
It works OK on my non-development WinXP 32 machine. Do you have any MS VC++ Redistributables installed? Try installing the 2008 package : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en ?

@dougal2, that works, thank you. It is rather bizarre to have to install something like that to make a program work. I assume that the final installer will have that problem sorted out. It might be worth releasing an installer before final release in order to test if the installer itself works.
Cheers.
