Material chamber? This is the place where bad girls got recycled into mattetranslucent and glossy_lossy for the Lux geeks pleasure? Hehe. :)

[whining] Why?! This is the most interesting.
:D

Awesome work so far, looking forward to see it finished. With the woman of course.

I just have to say I consider what Abel has done as a brilliant offering,

Why? Because to me it represents a full circle in CG, at this point a lot of what I see in general, in films most of all, seems like a echo from the early proof of concept days, an attempt to bash us over the head with endless details and play on the shock value of photo-realism, I enjoy every bit of it and admire the work put into the details, but...

Here is a simple glass, its using glass2 and dealing with glass on glass and glass on air intersections, it does not try to hide or elaborate on the glass but just presents it.

We know for a fact Abel can produce renders that met every standard of modern quality.

So the question I have to ask is why submit a simple glass? I think given what we know about the artist its a important false paradox and suggests something about the place of fine-art in modern CG.

To be honest it makes me want to stop what I am doing and submit a simple glass, just out of respect.

Anyway, nice job ;)

Hi,

Six months ago, i started to use blender (i had never used a 3d program before) and now I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

So decided to participate in the contest and here is my entry:

I hope you like it and feedback would be nice :)
