Ok, thank you for trying that.
I wish I would have such a "problem" on my machine... ;)

I'm studing the problem but I need a little help from you...
Some daies ago I updated my system to leopard and I don't have a Tiger to try... so I'm thinking to install a virtual machine with Tiger, but for now I need you help.
@LuxBlender:
Do you have a Tiger on Intel, right?
can you try to make build from strach (cvs checkout) and following the instruction that I wrote in a previouse post test it and send me luxconsole?
@MasterDomino
Can you make the same?

If you encounter any problem send me a private message.
Thanks for your help.

Regards

Okay, I can try that.
But I remember when I tried before to build it myself, I just went into trouble and it wouldn't let me build.

But if you give me some help and explain a bit, when I'm stuck, I could do that.
I will not find any time to do this before the weekend, though.

Hello everybody!

Sorry for not responding for so long, I was ill first and then really busy with work.
I tried now to follow your instructions Neo1975, I tried to follow these:

mkdir LuxRender
cd LuxRender
cvs -d:pserver:anonymouse@cvs.savannah.nongnu.org:/source/ecume co macos
cvs -d:pserver:anonymouse@cvs.savannah.nongnu.org:/source/ecume co lux
cd lux
cmake .
make

Whenever I get to the step

Code: Select all
cvs -d:pserver:anonymouse@cvs.savannah.nongnu.org:/source/ecume co macos

the terminal tells me:

Code: Select all
cvs checkout: warning: failed to open /Users/online2/.cvspass for reading: No such file or directory
cvs [checkout aborted]: unrecognized auth response from cvs.savannah.nongnu.org: cvs [pserver aborted]: /source/ecume: no such repository
[Online2:~/LuxRender] online2%

and nothing happens. I am not experienced using the terminal at all, so any help is appreciated. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you!

My god...

Sometimes I wish a hole would open in the ground and I could silently disappear in it... ;) Thank you!

Next question:

Now I came to the part with

Code: Select all
cmake .

Is this also supposed to be a terminal command? Because when I enter this in the terminal it responds:

Code: Select all
[Online2:~/LuxRender/lux] online2% cmake .
tcsh: cmake: Command not found.

Thanks for your help!

Yes cmake is a terminal command - you'll have to install it...but this is not the place to talk about that ;-)
Mac OS compilation is broken ; we have to wait for Neo -or an other volunteer- for now

Ok, I was actually doing this, because Neo asked me to build it myself and send the results to him to analyze it...

But it looks like my skills are lightyears away from the skills I would need to help him with that. :(

So I'll wait till someone more talented comes along or till somebody tells me what to do/try next.
