New project Leader

Postby jeanphi » Wed Sep 21, 2016 8:26 am

Hi,

I've been the official project leader for now almost 7 years, but I currently don't have enough spare time to continue to significantly contribute to the project. So I am officially handing over the project lead to Dade who is the real dev leader for quite some time now and has agreed to it, I'm sure he'll do a great job.
It's been a really great experience bringing Lux to where it is today thanks to the hard work of all those who contributed over the years, thanks to you all. I'll try to continue to contribute from time to time and to follow the project with great interest.

Keep it up and make LuxRender continue to shine :)

Hats off to both of you!

Jeanphi, I wish you the best in this new phase of "retirement" and will remain grateful for the way you have contributed to and lead the project over the years.

Dade, I'm very happy to see you have agreed to officially take over the role you were in some ways already taking - I am looking forward to seeing you push the project further and further into uncharted territory!

Thanks for all your contributions to all sides of the project Jeanphi! Without your leadership skills, and your enormous knowledge of physically based rendering, surely there would have been no Luxrender.
Leaving the project in Dade's extremely capable hands is a great idea :)
